FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Recent Rains Cause Washouts on County-Maintained Roads
Recent heavy rainfall has caused washout, erosion, and damage to several county-maintained roads, creating hazardous travel conditions for residents and motorists.
County road crews are assessing affected areas to determine the extent of the damage and identify necessary repairs. The County is working to address the most critical locations and restore safe access as weather conditions, equipment, and available resources permit.
Residents are urged to exercise caution when traveling on county-maintained roads, particularly in areas that have experienced heavy runoff, flooding, or visible road damage. Motorists should avoid driving through flooded roadways or attempting to cross washed-out sections of road, as conditions may be more dangerous than they appear.
The County encourages residents to report road damage, blocked drainage structures, and other hazardous conditions to the appropriate county department. The County appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while crews work to address the damage caused by the recent rains. Public safety remains a priority, and efforts will continue to restore affected county-maintained roads as quickly and safely as possible.
