Barbara Rose “Bobbie” Butero, , went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2013.
She passed peacefully at home with her family at her side.
Barbara was born on December 11, 1920 to Charles and Anna Dintelman in Strawn, Texas.
She moved to Sopris, Colorado when she was about six months old and attended school there.
This is where she met and married her high school sweetheart Jasper Butero Sr., on October 15, 1938.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Charles, her husband Jasper, her two daughters, Janice and Chrissy, and her daughter in law Rosalie Butero.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Butero, Jasper Jr. (Sarah) Butero, Robert (Rebecca) Butero and Debbie(Buddy) Baca.
She also leaves behind the pride and joy of her life, her grandchildren, Chrissy Butero, Jasper Butero III, Wesley (Carol) Butero, Leeanna (Rory) Hamilton, Maria (Frank) Gomez and Esperana Butero, her great grandchildren, Delaney and Jasper Hamilton and Owen Butero along with step grandchildren, David and Brad Baca, Desiree Valdez, Matthew, Tony and Andrea Galasso and Zoe and Aengus Rivas, dear friends Debbie DeBono and Sherry Falagrady and members of her weight loss group.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00Am at Holy Trinity Church.
Entombment will follow at the Guardian Angel Mausoleum, Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Honorary and Active pallbearers will be Jasper Butero III, Wesley Butero, Rory Hamiltion, Frank Gomez, Brad Baca, Matthew Galasso, David Baca, Tony Galasso and Aengus Revas.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sangre DeCristo Hospice, 328 Bonaventure Ave., Suite 5, Trinidad, Colorado 81082.
Those who knew her know what they will miss. those who didn’t know her will never know what they missed.
