Norma June Howlett, passed away on October 8, 2013 at the age of 65.
Norma was born in Lamar, Colorado on September 16, 1948 to parents Aleta (Starr) and Robert Lucas.
She graduated from Primero High School in 1966. She then joined the Women’s Army Corp and was stationed in San Antonio where she worked in the burn unit.
She married Wilbert Whitley, and together they moved to Baltimore Maryland where they resided for sometime.
She worked and earned her degree in heavy fabrics. She then was employed in fabric manufacturing, in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. areas.
Years later she returned to Colorado, marrying John Howlett, making her home in Pueblo Colorado where she resided until her death.
Preceding her in death is her husband John Howlett, father Robert Lucas, nephew Joshua Lucas and sister in law Linda Lucas.
She is survived by sons, Robert Whitley, Willie (Jennifer) Whitley of Baltimore. grandchildren
Robbie, Evan and Lucas of Baltimore. mother Aleta Lucas,Trinidad brothers Robert (Kathy) Lucas, Trinidad Fred Lucas, Arizona, Tom (Lori) Lucas, Trinidad, Larry (Tammy) Lucas, Pueblo, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 10:00AM at Comi Chapel with Pastor Carey Nelson officiating.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Stonewall.
The family respectfully requests the omission of flowers and donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project , PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, in her memory.
