Free Classes: Feeding Your Family On a Budget

A series of free classes, “FEEDING YOUR FAMILY ON A BUDGET & BEING FOOD SAFE” will begin Tuesday, February 23rd, 5:00 pm at Church of God of Prophesy in Raton. This series of classes will provide participants with the tools to enable them to feed their family healthy meals on a budget, involve the family in the planning, shopping and preparing of meals – while ensuring that it is done with food safety guidelines.

Class 1 will cover the importance of food safety and stopping some unsafe practices that many have used for generations providing reasons they were used and why they should no longer be used.

Class 2 will cover using shopping lists and store sale ads to plan your menu and how to get the most value for your food $.

Class 3 how to get your children to try new foods, eating fruits, veggies, rather than candy, chips, etc..

Class 4. Let’s get a move on why it is not only important to eat healthy but to also move our bodies.
