Week-long Fishing Derby at Sugarite Canyon State Park

Anglers love this week-long derby at Lake Maloya! From Saturday, May 30th through Sunday, June 7th, anglers of all ages try to catch tagged fish for prizes and up to $1,000 in cash – not to mention a chance to win a boat worth about $3,000!
Registration is only $10 per person, and every registered person goes in the drawing for the boat. Purchasing multiple tickets (chances in the drawing) is allowed and encouraged!
Special Kids’ Derby on Saturday, June 6th – No fishing license required on this day only.
Fees: Regular Entrance Fee plus Derby Registration Ticket (available at the Park, High Desert Outdoors & Radio Shack (Two Way Electronics of Raton)
