Garduño gave a brief history of the interstate system indicating that it began in 1956 when President Eisenhower signed the interstate system into law. After that Fernandez met with KRTN Multi-Media at the Historic Shuler Theater for an interview that covered the check presentation, The Democratic Party and how it has become somewhat splintered. The conversation also covered Medicare, immigration, social security and voting.
