It’s the last home match of the season for the Lady Tigers (3-6 in District) who hosted the Santa Rosa Lady Lions (8-2 in District) Thursday evening November 5, 2026.
The JV girls took the floor first Thursday afternoon and kept game one fairly close with a tie game at seven and again at 15 and 16 before Santa Rosa took a two point lead and went on to a 25-18 win. Game two saw Raton take the early lead but Santa Rosa took the lead and never looked back pulling out in front by as much as five. The final score was 25-18 to finish the match in two.
The varsity took to the floor after the little cheer leaders performance and it looked good right off the bat but Raton allowed Santa Rosa to tie the game at 6, 7, 8, and 9. The Lady Lions then took the lead but Raton kept it close staying with in four for the rest of the game. In game two the lead changed a couple of times before Santa Rosa took the lead and extended that lead to as much as seven before they ended the match up by seven.
In game three it was all Santa Rosa as they took a 5-1 lead. Raton kept some long volleys going but an errant pass or off hand hit added the points to Santa Rosa. In the end it was a 25-16 win for Sant Rosa.
