Rams Advance in District Play Friday Night

It was a close game until the fourth quarter when the Cimarron Rams outscored the Roy/Mosquero Blue 28-7 to take the win and advance on to the championship game in Des Moines on Saturday night.

The Blue battled the Rams at the basket and down the court keeping the game close in the first half of play. The blue saw Hunter Scott get into foul trouble early with three fouls in the first followed by Ike Smith with who had four fouls by the middle of the third quarter. Both boys fouled out before the end of the game.

At halftime Roy/Mosquero lead by four and that trend continued to the end of the third quarter. Then lightning struck and the Rams took off out scoring the Blue by 21 points to take the lead and the win at the final buzzer.

Cimarron will travel to Des Moines for the Championship game Saturday evening at 6: 00 p.m.

Despite the height advantage that Demetrius Jackson had over Jackson Fudge the Blue managed to control the jump ball to start the District 5 1A semifinal game in Roy Friday night.
