Proclamation
GENERAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to NMSA 1978, Sections 1-8-11 to 52 (1969, as amended through 2019), and NMSA 1978, Sections 1-15A-1 to 11 (1977, as amended through 2011), I, Rayetta M. Trujillo, Colfax County Clerk, by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby issue the following proclamation:
That the Primary Election is called to be held throughout the State of New Mexico and in each county and precincts thereof on June 4, 2024, for the nomination of General Election candidates; and
That the General Election is called to be held throughout the State of New Mexico in each county and precincts thereof on November 5, 2024; and
That the Primary Election shall be applicable to the following political parties: the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, and the Libertarian Party to nominate candidates for the following offices:

PRIMARY ELECTION FILING DEADLINES:
Declarations of candidacy by pre-primary convention designation and nominating petitions for the office of President of the United States, United States Senator, and three United States Representatives, shall be filed with the Secretary of State on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of candidacy and nominating petitions for state representatives, state senators, district judges, metropolitan court judge, magistrate judges, district attorneys, and public education commissioners, shall be filed in the office of the county clerk in which the candidate is registered, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of candidacy and filing fees or nominating petitions for all other elective county offices, shall be filed in the office of the county clerk in which the candidate is registered, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of candidacy and nominating petitions for candidates who seek, but fail to receive pre-primary convention designation for a statewide office, United States Senator or the office of United States Representative shall be filed with the Secretary of State either ten days following the date of the pre-primary convention or on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, whichever is later, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of intent to be a write-in candidate for the offices of United States representative, and statewide offices shall be filed with the Secretary of State on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of intent to be a write-in candidate for state representatives, state senators, district judges, district attorneys, and public education commissioners, shall be filed in the office of the county clerk in which the candidate is registered, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
No state convention for designating Primary Election candidates shall be held later than Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Certificates of Designation of Primary Election candidates shall be submitted by political parties to the Secretary of State no later than the first Tuesday succeeding the state convention between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The Presidential Primary Election shall be held on the same date as the Primary Election in the State of New Mexico, June 4, 2024.
The Presidential Primary Election shall be conducted and canvassed along with and in the manner provided by law for the conduct and canvassing of the Primary Election.
GENERAL ELECTION FILING DEADLINES:
Declarations of candidacy and nominating petitions for unaffiliated candidates for the office of President of the United States, United States Senator, and three United States Representatives, shall be filed with the Secretary of State on Thursday, June 27, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of candidacy and nominating petitions for qualified minor party and unaffiliated candidates for state representatives, state senators, district judges, metropolitan court judges, magistrate judges, district attorneys, and public education commissioners, shall be filed in the office of the county clerk in which the candidate is registered, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of candidacy for nonpartisan judicial retention for the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, District Court, or Metropolitan Court shall be filed with the proper filing officer on Thursday, June 27, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Declarations of candidacy and filing fees or nominating petitions for qualified minor party and unaffiliated candidates for all other elective county offices, shall be filed in the office of the county clerk in which the candidate is registered, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

PROCLAMACIÓN DE LA ELECCIÓN GENERAL
De conformidad con NMSA 1978, Secciones 1-8-11 a 52 (1969, como enmendado hasta el 2019), y, NMSA 1978, Secciones 1-15A-1 a 11 (1977, como enmendado hasta el 2011), Yo, Rayetta M. Trujillo, Escribana del condado de Colfax en virtud de la autoridad que me ha sido otorgada, por la presente emito la siguiente proclamación:
Que se convoca la Elección Primaria para efectuarse por todo el Estado de Nuevo México y en cada condado y precintos del mismo el 4 de junio, 2024, para la nominación de los candidatos de la Elección General: y
Que se convoca la Elección General para efectuarse por todo el Estado de Nuevo México en cada condado y precintos del mismo el 5 de noviembre, 2024; y
Que la Elección Primaria deberá ser aplicable a los siguientes partidos políticos: el Partido Demócrata, el Partido Republicano y el Partido Libertario para nominar candidatos para los siguientes puestos:

FECHAS LÍMITE DE ARCHIVO PARA LA ELECCIÓN PRIMARIA:
Las declaraciones de candidatura por designación de convención preprimaria y las peticiones de nominación para el puesto de Presidente de los Estados Unidos, Senador de los Estados Unidos, Representante de los Estados Unidos, un juez de la Corte Suprema y un juez de la Corte de Apelaciones deberán archivarse con la Secretaria de Estado el martes 6 de febrero, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de candidatura y las peticiones de nominación para representantes estatales, senadores estatales, jueces del distrito, jueces de la corte metropolitana, juez magistrado, abogados del distrito, y comisionados de educación pública, deberán archivarse con el escribano(a) del condado respectivo el martes 12 de marzo, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de candidatura y las tarifas de archivar o, en su lugar, las declaraciones de pobreza para todos los demás puestos electivos del condado deberán archivarse con el escribano(a) del condado respectivo el martes, 12 de marzo, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de candidatura y las peticiones de nominación de los candidatos que buscan, pero no reciben la designación de la convención preprimaria para un puesto estatal, Senador de los Estados Unidos o el puesto de Representante de los Estados Unidos deberán archivarse con la Secretaria de Estado ya sea diez días después de la fecha de la convención preprimaria o el martes 12 de marzo, 2024, lo que sea más tarde, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de intención de ser candidato por escrito a los puestos de Representante de los Estados Unidos y a los puestos estatales deberán archivarse con la Secretaria de Estado el martes 19 de marzo, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de intención de ser candidato por escrito para representantes estatales, senadores estatales, jueces del distrito, abogados del distrito, y comisionados de educación pública deberán archivarse con el escribano(a) del condado en el que resida el candidato, el martes 19 de marzo, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Ninguna convención estatal para designar candidatos a la Elección Primaria se efectuará después del domingo 10 de marzo, 2024.
Los certificados de designación de los candidatos de la Elección Primaria deberán ser presentados por los partidos políticos a la Secretaria de Estado a más tardar el primer martes posterior a la convención estatal entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
La Elección Primaria Presidencial se llevará a cabo en la misma fecha que la Elección Primaria en el Estado de Nuevo México, el 4 de junio de 2024.
La Elección Primaria Presidencial se llevará a cabo y verificará junto con y en la forma prevista por la ley para la realización y confirmación de la Elección Primaria.
FECHAS LÍMITE DE ARCHIVO PARA LA ELECCIÓN GENERAL:
Las declaraciones de candidatura y las peticiones de nominación de candidatos no afiliados para el puesto de Presidente de los Estados Unidos, Senador de los Estados Unidos, Representante de los Estados Unidos, un juez de la Corte Suprema y tres jueces de la Corte de Apelaciones deberán archivarse con la Secretaria de Estado el jueves 27 de junio, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de candidatura y las peticiones de nominación para representantes estatales, senadores estatales, jueces del distrito, jueces de la corte metropolitana, juez magistrado, abogados del distrito, y comisionados de educación pública, deberán archivarse con el escribano(a) del condado respectivo el jueves 27 de junio, 2024, entre las 9:00 a.m. y las 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de candidatura para la retención judicial no partidaria para la Corte Suprema, la Corte de Apelaciones, la Corte del Distrito o la Corte Metropolitana deberán archivarse con el funcionario de archivo correspondiente el jueves 27 de junio, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de candidatura y las tarifas de archivo o, en su lugar, las declaraciones de pobreza para todos los demás puestos electivos del condado deberán archivarse con el escribano(a) del Condado respectivo el jueves 27 de junio, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de intención de ser candidato por escrito para los puestos de representante de los Estados Unidos y los puestos estatales deberán archivarse con la Secretaria de Estado el jueves 27 de junio, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
Las declaraciones de intención para ser candidato por escrito para representantes estatales, senadores estatales, jueces del distrito, abogados del distrito, y comisionados de educación pública deberán archivarse con el escribano(a) del condado en el cual reside el candidato, el jueves 27 de junio, 2024, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 5:00 p.m.
