The Lady Tigers hosted Robertson Tuesday afternoon for a district game at Jim Wade Field with the Lady Cardinals dominating the game with 13 runs in the second inning and going on for an 18-0 win in three innings.

Samantha Phillips went to the pitcher’s stripe for Raton to begin the game and showed good control, but Robertson connected. Despite the efforts of the defense,  Robertson managed to cross home plate with four base runners to take the early lead. Raton followed up going four up three down, all strikeouts.

The top of the second inning was a runaway for Robertson with batters making contact and Raton fielders misplaying balls. Robertson made it through their batting order twice,  for a total of 13 runs.

Raton’s Mariah Gonzales started the inning off for Raton and managed to steal second and third, but then the Raton batters went three up three down.

In the third, Robertson scored Leigh Lucero to add one to the scoreboard.

Raton ended the game going four up three down finishing the inning on a strike out.

Hayden Middlebrook took the mound in the second inning and finished the game with one strikeout and a couple of walks with batters hit by pitch. Phillips finished the game with no walks.
