Judicial Compensation Commission Meets Thursday
SANTA FE – The New Mexico Judicial Compensation Commission will meet Thursday to
consider recommendations to the 2023 Legislature for a possible judicial salary increase.
TIME: 2 p.m.
DATE: Thursday, Sept. 29.
PLACE: Live streamed on the New Mexico Courts YouTube channel.

The independent commission is required by state law to annually recommend a judicial pay plan
to the Legislative Finance Committee and the Department of Finance and Administration.
Commission members will remotely participate in the online meeting through a video
conferencing platform.
The commission is chaired by Camille Carey, dean of the University of New Mexico School of
Law. Other members are Rep. Daymon Ely, an Albuquerque attorney; Adam Flores, an
Albuquerque attorney; Patrick Ortiz, a Santa Fe attorney, Carolyn Wolf, a Santa Fe lawyer and
president of the State Bar of New Mexico; and Kathryn Morrow, a Las Cruces attorney.
