This time limit was established to provide efficiency in the conduct of the meeting and to allow equal opportunity for everyone wishing to speak. An immediate response should not be expected, as issues are typically referred to City staff for follow-up or research and are then reported back to Council and the individual who initiated the comment or inquiry.

Written materials for presentation to Council must be submitted to the City Clerk as the speaker approaches the podium.

5) CONSENT AGENDA APPROVAL

The Consent Agenda can be adopted by a simple motion. The Consent Agenda will be read aloud prior to a vote on the motion. Any Consent Agenda item may be removed from the Consent Agenda at the request of a Council Member for individual consideration.

c) First reading of an ordinance submitting to the voters of the City a measure to re-establish the City’s right to provide all services restricted since 2005 by the Colorado General Assembly with their passage of Senate Bill 05-152, including the authority to offer telecommunications services, high-speed internet services (advanced services), and/or cable television services to residents, businesses, schools, libraries, nonprofit entities and other users of such services, either directly or indirectly, with public or private sector partners, and setting a hearing date for consideration of said ordinance (6:00 p.m. on August 16, 2022)

d) First reading of an ordinance submitting to the voters of the City a measure to allow the City to sell the Hughes Lumber building at 127 E. Plum Street, and setting a hearing date for consideration of said ordinance (6:00 p.m. on August 16, 2022)
