Raton hosted Robertson for a district match in Tiger Gym Tuesday October 19, and the C-Team was the only team to come close to a win during the match.
The C-Team Lady Tigers gave Robertson a run for their money during the first game of their match. Robertson managed to pull out ahead and take a 19-9 lead. With a lot of determination the Lady Tigers battled back to tie the game at 19, then 20, 21 and finally at 24. But Robertson managed to rally and pull out the final two points for the win at 26-24. Game two was close with Raton taking the lead. Midway through the game Robertson took the lead and pulled out to a six point lead before finishing things off with a 25-19 win.
The JV match saw Robertson dominate the court and the net keeping our Lady Tigers in single digits for both games. Robertson had pulled out to a 9-1 lead in game one and had built up a 21-7 lead allowing only one more point for Raton. Game two saw Raton tie at 2 but quickly fell behind as Robertson finished the game off with a 18 point win.
In game one of the varsity game Robertson took the early lead and creating a 7-1 deficit. The Lady Cardinals looked like a well oiled machine as they dominated the net and the spikes were hard and well placed as the Lady Tigers struggled to keep the ball in play.
Game two faired only slightly better as as the Lady Tigers battled back from a 13-5 deficit and a 19-9 score. Game three was a what happened as Robertson simply dominated the court taking a 20-1 lead and allowing Raton to score another eight before finishing off the match with a 3-0 win.
