The Lady Horseman arrived in town ready to play and they took home a bunch of wins Thursday Evening, September 30, 2021, as the Lady Tigers seemed to struggle to stay in the game.

The JV split their match with game one being a topper. Both teams went back and forth with volleys tying the game several times and finally at 24 and 25 before Raton pulled it out 27-25. In game two the fans were wondering what happened as Angelina Moya was credited with 19 unanswered points in a row. Yes that’s right St Mikes went 19-0 before the Lady Tigers could put a point on the board. The tie breaker was a bit better for Raton but the JV girls still struggled dropping the tie breaker by five.

The varsity girls saw St Mikes take the early lead and simply continued to expand. It was a 14-6 St Mikes lead then 22-13 as Raton just couldn’t get things to work. Game two was more of the same as St Mikes slammed the ball over the net with little resistance and several errors that sent the ball flying out of bounds. In game three Raton began to gel as the Lady Tigers tied the game at seven but couldn’t maintain. Soon St Mikes had climbed to a 15-8 lead and finished off the Lady Tigers with room to spare.
