In Loving Memory of Walter Wesley Wallace

W.Wesley Wallace   1936-2015

W.Wesley Wallace was born to Walter & Wilda Wallace on October 4, 1936.

After attending first grade in Manchos, Colorado his family moved to Dolores,  where he finished his schooling, graduating Validictorian of his class.  Not intending to further his education, he elected to begin ranching full time with his father.

Wesley and Sherry Pickens were married, and blessed with three sons, (Steve, Tim, Jay)along with one daughter, Kathleen.

In 2007 Wesley and his wife Debbie purchased the Roundtree Ranch east of Maxwell, N.M., and made it their home.  Happiness was apparant, not being in the position to make happy the men in the brown and green pants any longer.

Wesley loved the Roundtree Ranch, saying it was a “Dream come True”

Running yearlings all over SW Colorado from Pagosa Springs to Gunnison, Wesley would gather and ship by rail to the Kansas City stockyards every fall.

Being an excellent horseman, he broke numerous horses for numerous folks.  “He never saw a bad horse, just bad owners”, Never finding a horse that he could not ride, many times it has been said that when the good Lord made Wesley, he broke the mold!.

Never meeting a stranger, no matter where he was,  Wesley could pick up a conversation with anyone, and after speaking it was as though you’d known him for a lifetime.

Telling stories of his encounters could go on for hours, he had the ability to just walk up to anyone with the approach of “Let me tell you about something”!

This man could get a tear in his eye when speaking of family, bursting with pride, with  recent beloved stories of his grandson Wesley’s wrestling accomplishments.

W.Wesley Wallace was an exceptional man in every way with with outstanding accomplishments. . . He will be desperately missed.
