Jami Esquibel said “Raton needed some fun” and fun they had Saturday at Roundhouse park as walkers and runners participated in the Color for the Cure cancer fund raiser.

Participants made their way around the walking path and were sprayed with a colored powder as they passed the color stations. There were teams and individuals who participated to help raise money for cancer victims in Raton. There were about 100 participants Saturday and the whole event culminated in a splash of color as participants all gathered south of the Aquatic Center in the field and emptied color packets of powder into the air.
