In Memory of Larry C. Trujillo

OBITUARY

 

Larry C. Trujillo, 71, of Maxwell, NM passed away February 12, 2014 in an El Paso, TX hospital.  Larry was born in Raton, NM to Ernest and Dolores Trujillo, On June 8th 1942   Larry married Patricia Atler of Springer, NM and they were married for 42 years.  Larry and Patricia had two children and four grandchildren.

Larry served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He also worked for the New Mexico State Department of Transportation for 30 years.  Larry was not one to stay idle, so after his retirement he worked at the Raton Country Club and most recently worked throughout the United States for Hayden Construction.  Larry loved adventure, seeing new places, discovering the unexpected and always had an affinity with nature.

Larry is preceded in death by his father, Ernest, his wife Patricia and his sister Iris Marie.  He is survived by his children Cynthia Trujillo of El Paso, TX, Yancy Trujillo of Maxwell, NM, also by his mother Dolores (Lola) Trujillo of Maxwell, NM, his sisters Sister Ernestine Trujillo of San Antonio, TX and Lindie Cruz of Beatty, NV, his grandchildren Paul, Brent and Tarryn Trujillo of Raton, NM and Danika Trujillo of Colorado Springs, CO., His Niece Naomi  Cruz of Las Vegas Nevada,  His Aunt Stella Montoya of Springer NM and Lupe Trujillop of Maxwell NM,  numerous cousins and friends.

The Rosary will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Maxwell NM on Friday February 21st at 7:00pm with a reception following at the Maxwell School Cafeteria.
The Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Vincent De Paul Church in Maxwell at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 22nd.  Interment will be at the Maxwell Cemetery following the Mass. A celebration of life will be held at the Historic Ice House in Raton NM immediately following the Interment, everyone is invited to join our family in the celebration!!
