The Tigers and Lady Tigers travelled over to Cimarron Saturday night for a couple of basketball games under the bright lights and the cameras of the CSPN.
Thats right folks the Cimarron Highs School has a video production class that puts on a first rate show during all the Cimarron High home games. The games are on the big screen and the internet with pre game commentary starting at 10 minutes before the game.
Saturday night the ladies took to the court and the first half was a tight game. The score at halftime was only 19-10 Raton. The spark however struck for Raton and by the buzzer at the end of the game Raton lead by 17 and finished the game with a 53-36 score.
Raton took the JV team to Cimarron to play their varsity. Another tough game for both teams as the score never got more than six points apart and was tied several times during the game. When it came down to the final minutes of the fourth quarter the score was again tied. It went back and forth and finally with a minute left the Rams took the lead at 53-51 and managed to hold on for the win. At the buzzer the Rams had inked out a 55-51 win.
