Freddie A. Martinez age 83 of Springer, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2013. He was born on May 9, 1930 to Antonio and Maria Teretia Martinez in Raton, NM.
Freddie is survived by his two sons Myles Martinez of Springer, NM and Roger and wife Noriko Martinez of Santa Fe, New Mexico, sister Louise Elliote of Springer, NM and brother Gene Martinez of Denver. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Cremation has taken place and services will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements for Freddie A. Martinez are under the direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
My mother used to play his album Te Traigo Estas Flores every Saturday mornings.
She is 83 now and battling Dementia
She is on hospice and just recently we dug out her old music collection Freddie Martinez being one of them. We are currently playing his album this Sunday afternoon and she is so happy to be listening to his music again. Thank you Freddie Martinez for your great music that lives on in her home

Mr. Martinez songs where played all the time when I was growing up in El Paso. One of my dad’s fav. singers. We are so sorry to learn we passed away in 2013. His music lives on at my house now.
