In Memory of Ernest Lucero

Ernest Lucero, age 72, passed away October 4, 2013.
He was born April 20, 1941, in Valdez, Colorado to Maclovia (Montoya) and Candido Lucero.
Ernest was united in marriage  in 1958 to Florence Martinez.  They were married 55 years and together they raised four children.
Ernest worked at Denver Woods Product in Denver, the Allen Min in Weston and the City of Trinidad before retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the racetrack.  He was an avid Bronco and Rockies Fan.  Ernest enjoyed being around family and friends and taking yearly trips to New Mexico.
He will be missed by all the family and friends he touched over the years.
He was preceded in death by his father Candido Lucero, mother Maclovia (Montoya) Collins, step father Roy Collins, brother Richard Collins,  niece Sonia Collins, and brother in law Walter Atencio.
He is survived by his wife Florence, children Vikki (Lorraine) Lucero, Pueblo, Ernie (Sharon) Lucero, Trinidad, Margaret (Ted) Lucero-Stinson, Pueblo West, Linda (Dustin) Medina, Pueblo, grandchildren, Mark (Alexa) Medrano, Andrew (Hannah) Lucero, Trina (Toby) Lee, Trinidad, Scott Garcia, Leah Lucero, Margaret Stinson, Miranda (Erin) Lujan, Amber Medina  and Dustin Medina, 8 great grandchildren, sisters Sarah Atencio , Trinidad, Helen Collins, Trinidad, step brother Floyd (Marlene) Collins, Magdelina, N.M.. special niece Marylou (Jerry) Meyers, Littleton, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 7:00PM at Comi Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 1:30PM at Holy Trinity Church,
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery
Active pallbearers are Jerry Meyers, Mark Medrano, Kain Medrano, Andrew Lucero , Dustin Medina, Lorraine Martinez and Ted Stinson.
Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
