In Loving Memory of John H. Baca Sr

John H. Baca Sr. , passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2017 at the age of 78.
He was born in Augusta, CO, the son of Seferina (Arguello) and Alfredo Baca.
On November 22, 1958, John was united in marriage to MaryAnn Mort in Walsenburg, CO.
John Baca Sr. pic 1John managed a Black Angus cattle ranch in Las Animas ,CO. for 13 years.
He was a mechanic for most of his life having worked for the City of Trinidad, the Las Animas County Road and Bridge Department as Foreman and then retired as Maintenance Supervisor at the Las Animas County Court House.
He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses and raising cattle.
John’s family was his first priority and he loved spending time spoiling all of his grandchildren.
His kindness and ever present smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death is grandson, John Baca III, parents Seferina and Alfredo Baca, brothers Max, Eloy, Ernie, sisters Genevieve, Fannie, Isabel, Josie and Mary.
Left to cherish his memory is wife, MaryAnn of home address, children, John H. (Rose) Baca Jr., Mike (Michelle) Baca, Walsenburg, Beverly (Robert) Valdez, Trinidad, Nancy (Robert) Valdez, Trinidad, David Luke (DeAnna) Baca Sr. 23 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, siblings, Fred (Frances) Baca, Ralph (Dolores) Baca, Dolores (John) Vigil, sisters in law, Bea Baca, Rosalie Baca, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2PM at the Comi Chapel with Minister Larry Swetky officiating.
Private inurnment at a later date.
