In Loving Memory of Ruben T. Trujillo

Ruben T. Trujillo, age 73, passed away from unknown causes on November 12, 2017, in Raton, New Mexico. He was born January 27, 1944 in Farley, NM, to the late Endelesia Salas and Jose Pablo Trujillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers (Willie and Ernie), and sisters Eurelia Trujillo, Margaret (Maggie) Marquez, Felonise (Faye) and her husband Donaciano Leyba, and Beatrice (Betty) and her husband Celso Baca. He is survived by two sisters, Alice Trujillo of Des Moines and Mary (late husband, Miguel Baca) of Raton, and two brothers, Steve Trujillo (and wife, Rosella) of Raton, and Joe Trujillo (late wife, Nora Marquez) of Dalhart, Texas. He also leaves his niece, Diane Walker, of Albuquerque, great-niece Christina Dragon, of Washington, DC, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Ruben was a lifetime resident of Des Moines, and dedicated his life to working for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He loved working on the railroad, “fixing” his cars, and helping people. The family appreciates the care and services of Tom and Jan Pryor of Des Moines, and the staff at Raton Nursing and Rehab Center. There will be no services at his request.
