In Loving Memory of Paul Chris Bernal

Paul Chris Bernal, Age 70 of Raton, N.M. passed away suddenly on June 28, 2017 at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM.

 

Paul was on November 12th, 1946 in Mora, N.M. to Jose L. Bernal and Cordelia Bernal. Paul was a member of St, Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for many years.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Jose L. Bernal and Cordelia Bernal. Maternal Grandparents Marcelino and Cleo Fernandez, also Alfonso and Louise Trujillo. Paternal Grandparents Pedro Bernal and Elena Bernal. Also, preceeding him in death were 1 Infant brother Juanito Bernal and 1 infant sister Lucille Bernal, the late Teddy L. Bernal. His sons, Ernest P. Bernal and Paul Gene Bernal, 3 loving nephews Joseph R. Garcia, Justin W. Garcia and Kevin A. Garcia and 1 loving niece Cordie J. Montoya, 2 infant nephews: Nathan and John Salazar Jr. Brothers in Law; Lee Tafoya and John Salazar, also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

 
Paul is survived by his loving companion for the past 28 years; Lorraine Sisneros of Raton, N.M. 1 daughter, Donna M. Bernal of Amarillo, TX. 3 sons, Teddy L. Bernal Sr. and wife Sherri, of Raton, NM, Anthony C. Bernal of At ladena, CA, Mark E, Sisneros and wife Cortney of Colorado Springs, CO. 4 sisters; Rebecca Salazar of Fort Lupton, CO, Marcella and husband Ted Guara, Helen and Joe Garcia of Raton and Juanita Tafoya of Raton, NM. 11 Grandsons John and Fredick Guss,Jeffery and Matthew Bernal Teddy Bernal Jr, Anthony Bernal Jr, Dayton Bernal Hernandez, Rodrido Ontiveros, Issiah, Jacob and Kane Sisnerous. Granddaughter; Arianna Bernal, Myra, Stephanie and Brittney Amaro (Bernal), Ashley Maldonado, Nazarenna Bernal, Marissa Bernal, Nellie Michelle Torres and Ashley Bernal. Along with numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive. Paul is also survived by the Mother of his 5 children Mary Jean Zinn of Amarillo, TX. 

 
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by Larry Guara. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday July, 5th t 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Bill Woytavich Officiating. Rite of Committal and Inurnment will follow at a later date at Fairmont Cemetery in Raton, NM.
