In Loving Memory of Robert ( Jerry-Bob) G. Miller

Robert ( Jerry-Bob) G. Miller, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017.

 

millerHe was born in Hamlet, Indiana on October 23, 1942. Robert was in the Navy for 2 years active duty on a Sea Plane Tender, the USS Salisbury Sound in Vietnam, Japan and the Philippines. He was in the National Guard for 2 years. Robert started his career as a meat cutter with Safeway in Denver, Co moved on to Manager of Kaune’s Market in Santa Fe, NM then moved up to store director of Albertsons in Clovis, NM to becoming the CEO / Owner of Poor Boys Butcher Shop in Clovis, NM. His hobbies were fishing, camping, hunting, carpentry, BBQ grill master, gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paulne (Cassady) Miller and John Louis Miller Sr., his two brothers, John L. Miller Jr. and James Miller and one sister JoAnne Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Jody) Miller of Pecos, N.M.. They were married in Broomfield, Colorado and were married for 51 years. He will be sadly missed by his sister Jan Miller (Rich) of Lakewood, Co., his son Eric D. Miller of Clovis, N.M. and his daughter Jeryl (Jeri) Vigil (Ricky) of Pecos, N.M. his five grandchildren, Nathan Miller of Pecos. N.M., Jessica Miller of Clovis, N.M., Matthew Vigil of Pecos, N.M., Vivian Miller of Lubbock, TX. Aleigha Miller, of Clovis, N.M. and his 3 great-children, Kymberly Miller of Pecos. N.M., Braiden C. Simonini of Clovis, N.M., Bailey L. Miller of Lubbock, TX. and various other family members and friends.

Please join the family on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel at 9:30 A.M. Internment immediately following at the Fairmont Cemetery in Raton New Mexico.

Arrangements and celebration of love for Robert G. Miller are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
