Benjamin (Benjo) Sanchez Jr. passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2017 at the age of 56.
He was born on April 5, 1960 in Raton, NM. He attended Raton High Schools and graduated in 1978.
He loved the outdoors and wilderness. He was a hard worker working for 25+ years at Southwest Hollow Metal.
He is preceded in death by his father Benjamin F. Sanchez Sr., mother Maria Sanchez, sister Persilla Vargas and only son Isaac B. Sanchez.
He is survived by partner Barbara Avila, daughter Nicholl Sanchez and partner Levi Martinez, grandchildren Adriana Sanchez, Vernon Edwards, Dinishio Edwards and Nathaniel Edwards, of Raton, NM. Brother Alfonso Sanchez and partner Viola of Denver Colorado, Sister Alice Martinez and partner Randy of Raton, NM. Sister Caryn Sanchez and partner Wayne of Raton, NM. Brother John Sanchez of Raton, NM. And sister Christina Sanchez of Raton, NM. He also had numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, February, 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St Patricks’/St. Josephs’ Catholic Church recited by Larry Guara, followed by the Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant.
