In Memory of Josephine Marie Malovich

Josephine Marie Malovich lifetime resident of Aguilar passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Colorado Springs.  Parents were Phillip and Mary Cozzie.   

Josephine graduated from Aguilar High School, after which time she went to work as a bookkeeper for San Isabel Electric.  Later in life she went to work at the Aguilar School cafeteria.  She worked for AHS for approximately 15 years until her retirement.  

Josephine and her husband William (Willie) are survived by their daughters, Wilma, (Ernest and grandson Ernest William Casias) of Laughlin, Nevada and Joyce (Jerry) Cannon of Colorado Springs, brothers Phillip (Helen) Cozzie of Widefield, CO and Charles Cozzie of Denver, CO as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Malovich, as well as parents Phillip and Mary Cozzie, and sister Barbara Dosen.   

Josephine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She took great pride in caring for her home and family.  Josephine (Jace) as husband Willie would call her reveled in holiday preparations, she was in her element.  You were a stranger in her home but once.  She always had the coffee pot going, and was ready to bring out a Dutch lunch fit for a king, when company came.   

Viewing will be held Thursday, October 3, at Comi Funeral Home from 4:00PM-7:00PM. 

Funeral Services will be Friday October 4, 2013, with Rosary at 9:30AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00AM with Fr. Alexander Iheonunekwu as celebrant. 

Internment will follow at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery beside her beloved husband . 

Active pallbearers are Ernest Casias, Phillip Cozzie, Joe Arnone, Odie Wester, Ed Velasquez and Rob Baudino. 

Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
