Fiction Writer’s Workshop

The Arthur Johnson Memorial Library in Raton will host an all-day Fiction Writer’s Workshop conducted by author Steven Havill on Saturday October 24, 2015.  The hours will be from 9 am-Noon  and 1 pm-4 pm.

Mr. Havill, a former Raton resident, is the author of the nationally known “Posadas County Series” set in southern New Mexico.  It follows the Sherriff’s department of Posadas County and the lives of favorite characters Bill Gastner and Estelle Reyes.

When Mr. Havill lived in Raton, he conducted fiction writers workshops that resulted in a least five local writers who published novels. So bring your questions, bring a sample of your work, and come prepared to enjoy and learn from a successful author and excellent teacher.
