Toribio Agapito “Ted” Borquez 89
Died unexpectedly on January 6,2026 at his home in Trinidad CO. He was born
March 10, 1936 in Mountain View, NM to Martin and Isabelle “Garcia” Borquez. He
was raised by his grandparents Toribio and Adelina Garcia. He attended High
School for 2 years then joined the Army November 6, 1954. He was honorably
discharged in 1956 on March 26,2007 he received his High School Diploma from
Wagon Mound, NM.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, first wife Sally “Mondragon” Borquez,
2^d wife Georgia “[\4itotes” Borquez and Daughter Cynthia “Borquez” Lopez.
Surviving are his Sons: Marty Borquez Sr. and his wife Erica of Brighton CO.,
Leonard “Ted” Borquez and his wife Margie of Trinidad CO. and Jason Borquez Sr.
and his wife Mary Ann of Raton NM. Daughters: Debbie “Borquez” Garcia and her
husband Rueben of Raton NM, Rosemary “Borquez” Valdez (Tony)of Pueblo Co.,
Adele “Borquez’ Valdez and her husband Richard of Amarillo TX, Anita Jo
“Borquez” Marquez of Pueblo CO. and Mary Borquez of Raton NM. One living
sister: Delma Trujillo of Denver CO. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren
and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services of remembrance will be al 12:30 p.m. January 14, 2026 at Comi Funeral
Home at 1804 East Main St. Trinidad CO with visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00
p.m. at Comi’s. Funeral Home interment to follow the services at Masonic Cemetery
Trinidad CO.
