In Loving Memory of Roberta Ann Bustos

Roberta Ann Bustos passed away on August 9, 2025, at 6 pm at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Greeley, CO. on February 21, 1963, to Raymond and Lena Turner-Gonzales. Roberta is survived by husband, Tony Bustos, of the family home in Springer, NM. Mother, Lena Turner from Springer, NM, sister, Kathy (Salomon) Sedillo from Santa Fe, NM. Brothers, Jon (Deb) Turner from Chippewa Falls, WI. Dan Turner From Santa Fe, NM, and Michael (Danielle)Turner from Springer, NM. Sons, Ray Tafoya and Ryan (Gayle) Bustos from Springer, NM. Tony (Blanca) Bustos from Portales, NM, Daughters, Jessica Tafoya from Springer, and Priscilla (Terrance) Allen from Brenham, TX.Grandchildren: Dominic Tafoya, Devin Tafoya, Nathaniel Tafoya. Santiago Machuca, Maricia Pacheco, Antonio Pacheco, Ryanna Bustos, Gabriel Bustos, Ryleigh Bustos, J.J.Bargas, Jacob Bustos, Jalen Allen, Kason Allen.

Roberta was preceded in death by Paternal grandparents, John and Mary Ann Turner, Maternal Grandparents, Andres (Aurora)Gonzales, Charles Morales, and Rica Benavides, and father, Raymond J. Turner.

Roberta was a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from TSJC in 1995 with honors. She pursued her Registered Nurse education but was unable to complete her degree due to unforeseen circumstances.

Roberta worked at Colfax Long Term Care Facility, Miners Colfax Long Term Care, and Raton Nursing Rehab Center for several years. Roberta also worked at the NM Boys School and Dr. Charles Secora’s OBGYN practice. She loved working Saturdays with her husband, completing Insurance Exams in Northern NM Communities.

Roberta loved cooking, baking, boat fishing, and camping with the grandkids. Loved her Hummingbirds, patiently waited for their return. She loved working in her flower garden and protecting her frogs from her grandchildren.

Roberta loved listening to NM, Music with Tony. They were regulars at the Las Vegas annual Fiesta and the NM Music Awards Ceremonies at the Ohkay Casino in Espanola, NM.

Graveside services in the Springer Cemetery are planned for a later date.

Arrangements for Roberta Ann Bustos are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
