In Loving Memory of Dorothy Fay Quartieri

Dorothy Quartieri passed away peacefully at home in Los Alamos, New Mexico on June 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nothing in this world meant more to her than family. Her love ran deep, and she made sure everyone felt it—every single day.

Born in Dawson, New Mexico on August 23, 1935, she was the daughter of Harry and Fay Pompeo. Dorothy was the middle child, lovingly nestled between her older sisters, Emma Weaver and Viola Peterson, and her younger brothers, Harry Pompeo Jr. and Donald Pompeo.

She shared a once-in-a-lifetime love with her husband and best friend, Ronnie Quartieri. Their bond was unshakable, marked by decades of adventure and laughter—camping at Williams Creek, scenic drives to spot wildlife, cruises and travel, and their weekly casino visits.

Dorothy and Ronnie were blessed with two sons, Danny Quartieri and Chris Quartieri, whom she loved with all her heart. As the family grew, so did her joy. She welcomed her daughter-in-law Shelly, and cherished every moment with her grandchildren: Kevin (and his wife Katie), Randy (and his wife Victoria), and Nicholas (and his fiancée Victoria Cummins). Her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her great-grandchildren: Luca, Olivia, and Stella.

She was also adored by countless nieces, nephews, and extended family, each one touched by her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.

Dorothy lived a life rooted in compassion, grace, and joy. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.
