Josephine died on the night of June 19, 2025, she was 78.
She was born to her parents Eugene and Bernice (Vigil) Ortega in Rocky Springs, Wyoming on March 17, 1947. She called many places in Colorado home, including Trinidad, Colorado Springs, Denver, and most recently, Loveland. She married her husband Louis Sisneros in 1962, and they had three sons. Louis, Michael, and Ricky Sisneros.
She is preceded by her parents, Eugene and Bernice (Vigil) Ortega; her husband, Louis Sisneros; and her sons Louis, Michael, and Ricky Sisneros.
She is survived by her sister, Victoria Alvarez; grandchildren, Naomi (Maurice) Williams, Louis Joseph (Marili) Sisneros Jr, Orlando (Rachel) Sisneros, Carlos (Genevieve) Sisneros; great grandchildren, Rosendo Lagunas, Aniya Williams, Dallice Williams, Orlando Sisneros, Jamikel Sisneros, Carlos Sisneros Jr, Christopher Sisneros, Caleb Sisneros, Johnathan Sisneros, Jazlynn Sisneros; and great-great grandchildren, Aspen Lagunas and James Lagunas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers are Carlos Sisneros, Louis Joseph Sisneros Jr, Orlando Sisneros, Rosendo Lagunas, Carlos Sisneros Jr, and Jamikel Sisneros.
A viewing will be held at Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 9 am. A Spanish Rosary will follow at 12 pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow at 1pm, with interment at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
