Jesus “Jess” H. Hernandez passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado,
at the age of 78.
A longtime resident of Trinidad, Colorado, Jess was a talented and hardworking contractor
who took great pride in his craft. Beyond his work, he found his greatest joy in the time
spent with his grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Della Hernandez, and his beloved son,
Jesus “Jesse” Hernandez Jr.
Jess is survived by his daughters, Fidelity (Adrian) Dominguez and Erlene Hernandez; sons,
Justin and Dustin Hernandez; grandchildren, Ashden Garcia, Anerys Hernandez, Andres
Hernandez, Brandon Encinias, Gabriella Salazar, and Samuel Salazar; and
great-grandchildren, Anthony and Amias Helmbrecht. He is also remembered fondly by
numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In honoring Jess’s wishes, there will be no funeral Mass or public viewing. Arrangements
have been entrusted to the care of Comi Funeral Home.
