Agnes Cruz (8/21/1935 – 6/11/2025)
Agnes Cruz, 89, of Trinidad, Colorado received her wings on Wednesday June 11th, 2025 leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born to Morris and Theresa Barros in Trinidad, Colorado on August 21st 1935.
Agnes was a devoted mother to her 10 children. Robert (deceased), Joyce, Julia, Robert Lee (deceased), Wanda (Raymond), Evelyn (Glen), Donna (Ron), Donald (deceased), Jr. , Ronald (Donna).
Agnes Cruz went to Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado and received her Bachelors in 1975 to become an elementary school teacher. She started teaching kindergarten at East Street School and volunteered many years for headstart. She later worked with adults to get their citizenship.
Keeping her memory alive: her children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by her parents, brother James Barros, her sons, granddaughter Victoria Gomez, and son-in-law Manuel Martinez.
She loved traveling with Robert, listening to Mexican music, playing on her tablet while watching westerns and karate movies. Her nightly calls will be greatly missed.
Her viewing will be June 19, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:30am at Comi Chapel. Her Rosary will be held at 12:30 pm at Holy Trinity Church, Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm Holy Trinity Church with Trinidad Catholic Cemetery following the mass.
