William John Jeremiah Paine
William John aka “Billy” Jeremiah Paine passed away May 27,2025. He was born April 4th,
1973.
He was a loving father, son and brother who grew up on a ranch east of Trinidad where he
attended and graduated from Hoehne High School in 1991 . He went on to attend TSJC earning
a degree in OSHA Safety. He was active in 4-H taking market swine and shooting sports. After
graduation he enlisted in the Army. He was a mechanic by trade and loved woodworking,
camping, rock collecting and spending time outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his nephew Levi DuRan, grandparents Bertha and Jim Heistuman,
John and Carrie Paine, and Bill and Pearline Davies.
He is survived by his son Cody Paine, parents Buddy and Donna Paine, sisters Amiee (Matt)
DuRan and Heidi (Mark) Cappellucci. Nephews and niece Kris (Brooke Wilson) DuRan, Haven
(Logan Chavez), Patrick (Hilary) DuRan, and Tyler Cappellucci. As well as Great nephews and
niece Levi and Owen DuRan, and Kyah and Ripley Chavez. He will be greatly missed by all who
knew him.
At Billy’s request he was cremated with private interment for his family at a later date. Funeral Services will
Be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 11 AM at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Becky Mac Learn officiating.
