Alice Lorraine Guerriero, a lifetime resident of Aguilar Co., passed away on March 21, 2025, at the age of 98.
Alice was born on April 21, 1927, to parents Lucia Boggio-Guerriero and Michele Guerriero. She was educated through the Aguilar School system and graduated with a class of students she remained in touch with for many years.
She served as Postmaster of the U.S. Post Office for thirty years. Always active in the city affairs, she was a devoted member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, taught catechism, and was a member of the church corale choir.
Throughout her entire life she studied the history of Aguilar and the surrounding areas. During her postal career, she collected and preserved all state centennial stamps.
A self-made historian, she was instrumental in collecting old photos and family stories of the many families who had resided in Aguilar. She assisted with the development and publication of the Aguilar Centennial book.
After her postal retirement, she worked in office management of Leone Construction Co.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucia; father, Michele and sister, Lenore Wilso;n and two very young children, Marie and Ralph.

Services will be held at Aguilar’s St. Anthony’s Church on April 29, 2025, at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
