Kathryn “Kay” Paye, born on March 23, 1940, in Clayton, New Mexico and passed away on July 12, 2026, in Quitman, Texas.

Kay’s path was marked early on by a calling to service. She answered that call as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, embracing the unwavering values of honor, courage, and commitment. In the disciplined fold of the Marines, Kay forged lifelong principles of resilience and generosity of spirit, guiding her interactions in every chapter that followed.

Later, she brought her diligence and kindness to the world of customer service at Citi Corporate, where her dependable spirit made her a cherished colleague and a friend to many who crossed her path.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Chuck Paye and wife Terri, Mike Paye and Sherry Norman and husband Ronnie; sisters, Sue Weese Melrose, Wendy Russell and Kim Graves; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Fern Weese; sons, Virgil Paye and Don Paye; brothers, Bob Weese and Kenneth Weese; sister, Deanie Swanson.

Kay’s memory will be honored at a funeral service on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Interment will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Grenville Cemetery in Grenville, New Mexico.
