Raton Public Schools Release Renderings for the New School Campus

Superintendent Kristi Medina released the renderings for the new school campus this week.

The building will be a two story facility with the high school being in one wing and the elementary school in a separate wing to the north of the high school. In the middle of the campus will be the cafeteria and a practice gym with another smaller practice gym at the end of the elementary wing.

The existing Tiger Gym will remain a part of the campus and will sit on the east side of the building. The gym will continue to handle the court sports for fall and winter as well as other high attendance events.

The high school part of the building will be built first and once it is built the old high school will be demolished to make room for the elementary portion of the campus. It is expected that dirt work will begins late this year probably in November and be ready for building construction in the spring.
