Raton New Mexico American 250 Proclamation June 23, 2026

RE: America 250 Proclamation

Elected Officials, City Staff, and Citizens of Raton,

 

I would like to extend an invitation to each of you to wear something patriotic to our upcoming City Commission meeting on June 23, 2026. We will be reading a proclamation celebrating America250, “the official, nonpartisan initiative established by Congress to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. Its core purpose is to celebrate the nation’s history, honor the contributions of all Americans, and inspire community service and civic engagement across the country”. (america250.org)

 

I would also like to extend an invitation to everyone present to be part of a photograph commemorating the occasion.
