It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry A. Archuleta Sr. on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 at his home in Raton, NM, at the age of 89.
Henry was born on December 9th, 1935 in Baldy, NM. Henry worked as a foreman at Pacific Studs Sawmill in Cimarron, New Mexico and retired from Raton Public Schools as a maintenance supervisor in December of 1997. Henry spent 18+ years of faithful service as Custodian at First Presbyterian Church. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, camping, playing pool, and was an avid Titans fan.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Florida Archuleta, his beloved daughter Tina Marie Archuleta, as well as other siblings. Henry is survived by his loving wife Theresa Archuleta, daughter Cathy and Phillip Salazar, son Henry T. and Mary Archuleta, son Larry and Vanessa Archuleta Sr, daughter April and Luis Gomez Jr, daughter Stephanie and John Preciado, daughter Angela Muniz, daughter Ashley and Cory Ortega, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Services to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at 11:00am at Mesa Church 917 S. 2nd Street, Raton, NM, with Joshua Duran, Officiating. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements for Henry A. Archuleta Sr. are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
