In Loving Memory of Betty A. LeDoux

Betty A. LeDoux, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Cimarron on January 08, 2025. She was born on March 08, 1943, in Raton NM to the late Tranquilino and Eliria Gonzales. Betty was preceded in death by her infant son Patrick and sister Stella Alaniz.

Betty is survived by her three daughters: Patricia LeDoux, Darlene LeDoux (Paul Chavez), Rosemarie Archuleta (Thomas Archuleta), and by her son Thomas “Tucker “LeDoux (Teresa Sanchez). Betty also raised her grandson Michael LeDoux, Sr. and her granddaughter Vanessa LeDoux (Chris Ortiz). She is also survived by her grandchildren Starla LeDoux, Christa Archuleta, Sean Archuleta, Matthew Le Doux, Michael LeDoux, Jr, Christopher Gurule and Christopher Gurule, Jr. Betty had numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also created familial bonds with her dearest friends Flora Martinez, Letitia Martinez, and Frances Herrera, who she fondly adored.

Betty was an excellent provider that worked hard for her children. She was the manager of the Kit Caron Restaurant/Lounge for several years where she made lifelong friends. She worked at the Colfax County Senior Citizen Center as a Site Manager for over thirty-five years. She also cooked for the Pack-N-Horns Outfitter. She was elected for the village council in Cimarron and completed her term.

Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held at the Sister Hildegarde Parish Hall in Cimarron, NM at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, proceeded by her funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Betty will be buried at the Mountain View Cemetery in Cimarron following mass.

Pallbearers will be Amos Salazar, Phillip F. Salazar, Luis Esparza, Sean Archuleta, Michael LeDoux-Villa and Christopher Gurule. Honorary Pallbearers will be Arturo Sanchez, Phillip (Tim) Salazar, Daniel Rascon, Rod Taylor, Pat Custodio, Roy Alaniz, Matthew LeDoux and Chris Gurule.
