Dorothy Inez Baca-Romero born January 8th 1979 passed peacefully on October 24th
2024. She was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Trinidad, Colorado. Her faith in God and
love of life guided her through her journey. She had a warmth to her heart that could be felt a
mile away. In her family she was always told she had healing hands. She was known for
defending the people she loved. Dorothy had a kind heart and a free spirit. Her love knew no
bounds or limits. She gave her all to her family even when she had nothing left. She was fearless
and full of life. She was known as a strong, courageous woman. She made everyone around her
laugh and smile. She adored her cat Cinnamon who was the star of her YouTube channel. She
enjoyed rock hunting for crystals and exploring nature. Dorothy attended Catholic school and
completed her Holy Communion. She obtained her GED, was a self taught hairdresser, and nail
technician. Despite achieving so much, she was always most proud of her children. She is
survived by Cecilia (Cisarella), Lilly (Pie), Hope (Hopey), and three younger children. She is
also survived by her beloved grandson Gabriel Alessandro who was her pride and joy. She was
preceded in death by her husband Martin, her father Julian Paul, her Daddy Leroy, her Papa
Richard Montoya, her Grandma Jennie, and her Grandpa Nick. Left to cherish memories with
Dorothy are; Aunt Kathleen who was her rock, her “Mama” Dorothy, her Mom Melanie, Aunt
Valorie & Uncle Dave Vasquez, Uncle Leroy & Aunt Rose Baca, her Aunt Cindy, Cousin Regina
Barron who was like a sister to her, Cousin Diego who always kept a smile on her face, and
extended families… Dorothy will be missed by her family immensely but it is comforting to
know she is no longer suffering. God took her by the hand and she is now in his kingdom. She
will be laid to rest privately at a later date to be determined by family.
