David Kruse, 75, of Wagon Mound, New Mexico passed away due to cancer complications on September 10, 2024.
David was born in Las Vegas, NM to Henry and Bertha Kruse on April 30, 1949. He went to school at Wagon Mound Public Schools and graduated in 1969. Then he went on to Highlands University and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelors of Arts in Industrial Arts and minor in Physical Education. David started in the trucking business hauling Loomix and then bought his first semi truck in 1976. He went on to haul hay and cattle as the owner/operator of Kruse Trucking for over 40 years. David was also a rancher his entire life and loved working on his ranch near Wagon Mound. Although he went on many trucking hauls and vacations, he always wanted to come back to the peace and quiet of the Kruse Ranch. David enjoyed talking to his many friends and family, loved his dogs, and loved a good practical joke or water fight.
David is preceded in death by his identical twin brother Dale Kruse, his sister-in-law Lynnette Kruse, and his daughter Rachel Dashnaw.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Kruse, his daughter Sarah Lave and her husband Troy Lave, son-in-law Karrie Dashnaw, stepdaughter Michelle Tindell, stepson Chris Tindell and wife Jennifer, stepson Lee Tindell; brother Charles Kruse and wife Beverly, sister Mary Rommich and husband Dick, sister Becky Bretz and husband Bill, sister Karen McElroy and husband Steve; grandchildren Claire Dashnaw, Cora Lave, and Leah Lave.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kruse Ranch near Wagon Mound.
