SERVICES: Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Monday, July 8, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, with Fr. Joji as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico. BACKGROUND: Tommy F. Cruz was born on April 14, 1961, in Clayton, New Mexico to Santiago “Jim” Emanuel Cruz and Mercedes Maria (Padilla) Cruz. He graduated from Clayton High School and later joined the Army National Guard. Tommy worked for the New Mexico Highway Department for 29 years and retired as a Highway Supervisor. He was an excellent sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Tommy loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton. He was preceded in death by his parents, by 2 sisters, Elsie Martinez and Margie Cruz, and by a brother Gene Cruz.

SURVIVORS:

2 DAUGHTERS: Cloie Davila and her husband Joshua of Clayton, New Mexico and Carla Cruz-Motan and her wife Alexandra of Seattle, Washington.

3 GRANDCHILDREN: Amelia Davila, Noah Davila, and Savannah Davila all of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SISTER: Julia Cruz of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 BROTHERS: Jimmy Cruz and his wife Belen of Borger, Texas, and Alfred Cruz and his wife Rebeca of Stinnett, Texas.

The mother of children: Bernadette Encinias of Clayton, New Mexico.

And several nieces and nephews including David Cruz and his wife Lawana and Michael Cruz all of Stinnett, Texas, and Jody Cruz of Clayton, New Mexico.
