In Loving Memory of Dora E. Montoya

Dora E. Montoya passed away peacefully on June 2. 2024, surrounded by her loving
family at Mt. San Rafael Hospital in Trinidad, Colorado.
Dora was born on August 3, 1939, in Questa, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by
her parents, Benito and Porfiria Laforett, husband, John Ben Montoya, and son David John
Montoya.
She is survived by her son Mike Montoya (Debra), her sister Emily Mabel Laforett and
brother Tony Laforett; grandchildren, Christina McCormick, Joni Montoya, Eric Montoya
(Margaret), Ryan Montoya (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Amelia and Dawson, as well as
numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She loved to fish, play baseball, and cards with her family. She will be greatly missed.
A special Thank You to Alice for taking such great care of Dora.
Pallbearers are Eric Montoya, Ryan Montoya, Ernie Walker, Carlos Wren, Scott
Whitesell, and Joey Whitesell.
Dora’s viewing will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 3 to 6 pm in the Comi Chapel.
The Rosary will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 6 pm in the Comi Chapel with the funeral
mass on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10 am at the Holy Trinity Church.
Arrangements were made under the care of Comi Funeral Home.
