In Loving Memory of Michael Ray Garcia

Michael Ray Garcia passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1963, in Trinidad Colorado to Joe F. and Lydia Garcia. He was the eighth child of nine born into the family. He is preceded in death by his father, sisters JoAnn Cortes and Susanna Key, brother Joseph, nephew Johnathan Wilson, brother-in-law, Will Dunihoo, and sister-in-law Sara Garcia.

He is survived by his mother, sisters Alice (Gilbert) Vigil, Yvonne Wilson, Betty Jo Truitt, and Tina (Frank) Jungwirth, brother Albert Garcia, and brother-in-law Scott Key and Modesto Cortes. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Michael attended schools in Trinidad and Primero, graduating from Primero High School. He was a happy-go-lucky guy and always there when needed. He was working in North Carolina but when he learned about Daddy being sick, he headed home and helped in any way he could and stayed in Trinidad until his passing. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Comi Funeral Home on May 7, 2024, at 1:00 with burial to follow at the Masonic Cemetery.
