In Loving Memory of Elaine (Coca) Johnson

Elaine Johnson (Coca)

( December 26, 1941 – January 4, 2024 )

Elaine (Coca) Johnson was born on December 26th, 1941 in Cimarron, New Mexico.  She passed away on January 4th, 2024 after a very sudden decline in her health.  Elaine was only 82 years of age.

Elaine is survived by her four loving children, until she unexpectedly lost her oldest daughter Kathy (Johnson) DePrisco (Buddy), daughter Wanda (Johnson) Garcia (Louie), son Jesse Johnson (Stephanie), daughter Christina (Johnson) Duran (Ray).  Five loving step-sons, Irving (Sonny) Johnson (Sandra), Leon Johnson, Kenny Johnson (Roseann), Joey Johnson, and David Johnson.

Elaine is also survived by her loving grandchildren Danielle Avila, Matthew Avila, Randy Garcia, Jessica Sanchez, Jordan Sanchez, Sara Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Brett Duran, Chelsea Borders, Bethany Duran, Chanel Duran, KylieRae Duran, Richard Johnson, Sharon Johnson, Tamara Johnson, Monica Johnson, Crystal Johnson, Darrel Johnson, Tara Johnson, Dominic Johnson, Josh Johnson, and Elizabeth Johnson.

Great-grandchildren Danae, Navy, Drake, Carter, Randy Vance, A’livia, Gabrielle, Isabella, Marion, Dominic, Irving, Ella Jo, Cooper, Owen, Beckham, Crew and Chaz.

She is also survived by two brothers Carlos Coca, and Jimmy Pineda, and four surviving sisters, Ursula Romero, Candy Aragon, Ramona Aragon, and Irene Mestas.  Also, survived by many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Our loving mother is preceded in death by her loving husband Irving Johnson, her daughter Kathy DePrisco, step-son Irving (Sonny) Johnson, parents Joe Coca, Ruby and Rutilo Ornelas and great-grandparents Joe Duran, Pauline Pacheco, Anastacio and Florentina Coca, brothers David Coca, Joey Andrade and sisters Janet Pineda, Frances Gonzalez, and Mary Coca, grand-children Tara Johnson and Dominic Johnson.

Although the Lord has suddenly taken her Home, she was loved by many and will never be forgotten.

Thursday, January 18th – Rosary (Funeral Home – Raton) at 11:00 am

Funeral at 2:00 pm at Light House Church, 1310 South 2nd (Raton)
