Vivian Elaine Roakes went to be with her Lord on November 1, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. Elaine was born April 03, 1945, in Honey Grove, TX to Edker and Martha (Warren) Anderson.
Elaine grew up in Raton, NM, and graduated from Raton High School in 1963. After moving to Albuquerque 35 years ago, Elaine became an apartment complex manager – she thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all of her residents.
Elaine had a personality that would light up a room. She will be truly missed by all who knew her- especially by her daughter, Cherie, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Together, they made a lifetime of fantastic memories Cherie is now left to treasure.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Cherie Elizabeth Chicarelli of Raton, NM, as well as numerous cousins in New Mexico and Texas.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edker (Eddie) Anderson and Woodrow (Woody) Anderson, and husband Robert W. Roakes.
Funeral Service for Vivian Elaine Roakes will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Raton. Inurnment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
