Samuel O Bachicha Jr

From the small town of Branson in southern Colorado and being the oldest of eight siblings, he was raised with strong family values. At an early age, he found his love for the guitar from his father. After high school in 1957, he went to college and later joined the Air Force and served as a radio operator in Washington DC, and was honorably discharged in 1965. He turned to Denver, Colorado beginning his career in the RealEstate Industry during the day and pursuing his passion as a performer. He played in bands and finding his stride he joined the band Synchrony. In 1971 they released the LP “Our Album”.In 1980 Sam moved back to his final home Trinidad continuing his day job, and following his dream writing over a hundred original songs the most famous of which was “I like Trinidad”. He played many wedding party gigs()… Becoming a pillar of the community. Meeting many lifelong friends along the way. He believed his music was in part making the world a better place. Sam played music professionally for over 50 years.
Sam enjoyed working around the property using rock to build pathways and landscaping small building and constantly improving his property. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, taking his dogs for walks, always working hard but never forgetting to look up and enjoy the scenery. He watched football, and hockey and loved a good rodeo. He loved to laugh and joke taking from life its humor. Using this insight to entertain Family, Friends, And his following on stage. His hobbies and adventures found his way into his music.
He never forgot about the values his parents instilled in him. He carried on the tradition of gathering the family back home in southern Colorado for reunions until his family carried on the tradition. Being acknowledged as the centennial citizen in 2018 he loved his family and community. Sam was in the Knights of Columbus and attended mass regularly while he was able.
He leaves behind His wife Cynthia, Daughter Cecilia (Richard)Stirm, and Three sons Tory, Max (Anjelica), and Martin.

Rosary 7 pm Comi’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Funeral Mass 10 am Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
