In Loving Memory of Alice L. Archuleta

Alice L. Archuleta, 92, passed away on September 1, 2023, at La Vida Buena Long Term Healthcare in Las Vegas, NM. She was the widow of Jose F. Archuleta. They shared 62 years of marriage together.

She was born in Ocate, NM, she was the daughter of Alfonso and Carmen Gallegos. She was a woman of many trades, however, her most favorite and prideful career was being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of the St. Patrick St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery, quilting, gardening, and praying her rosary. She will be remembered for her strong catholic faith and undying love for her family.

She is survived by her children, Gene and Marylou of Brighton, CO; Salvador Archuleta of Cortez, CO; Julia and Charles Gonzales of Raton, NM; Alice Archuleta of Midland TX; Alex Archuleta of Midland, TX; Terry and Tony Casias of Arvada, CO; Jerry and Loraine Archuleta of Raton, NM; and Ricky and Amber Archuleta of Cimarron, NM. She was blessed with 39 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Judy Ann Archuleta, son Danny Archuleta, son George Archuleta, son Tommy Day, and her parents.

Recitation of the most Holy Rosary will be held on September 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick St. Joseph’s recited by the Legion of Mary.  Mass of Christian will follow at 11:30 am at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father James Mulligan as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
