Constance Elaine Graham, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Pueblo West, CO on August 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 29, 1944, in Raton, NM to WC & Ione Burton. She graduated from Raton High School in 1962 and married the love of her life, John Roy Graham on October 28, 1962.
Connie was a devout wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church during her time in Raton and enjoyed her bell-ringing and acted as the director of the bell choir at the United Methodist Church in Albuquerque New Mexico. She also worked at the Colfax County Assessors office for a couple of years, Title Services for a couple of years after which she and John Roy started their own business as J.R. Trucking. Connie spent the next many years as company bookkeeper and raising three beautiful children she loved dearly.
Connie and her younger sister, Sherry, were both survivors of Polio. Connie was five at the time and Sherry was 3.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents W.C, and Ione Burton; Brother Ronnie Burton, In-Laws John Henry and Trello Pearle Graham, Brothers and sister in-law Kenneth Graham and Roger Graham with wife LaRayne, and great grandson Lane Sisneros.
Connie is survived by her husband of almost 61 years John Roy Graham of Pueblo West, CO; son Steven Roy Graham of Rye, CO; daughter Kristi Elaine Graham of Raton; son Stacy John Graham and wife Jayme of Rye, CO; sister Sherry Barre of Albuquerque, NM; Brother Donald (Donnie) Burton and wife Barbara of Alamogordo, NM; Grandchildren Justin Sisneros and partner Mark of Albuquerque, NM; Jeremy Sisneros of Denver CO; Brooke Corwin and husband Cole of Gilbert, AZ; Gracie Graham and partner Brock of Rye, CO; Gunnar and Greenley also of Rye, CO. Two great-grandchildren, Desimann Sisneros Martinez and the one will be born in December of 2023, and many nieces and nephews and family and friends.
Memorial Services for Connie will be on September 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Raton. There will be a luncheon after the services at the Convention Center.
